Kaya has become a major player in the Mozambican LPG market. Having completed the construction of a 2-year intensive filling center in Matola, one of the largest projects to date, IPG entrusted a new project to KAYA for the construction of a port city filling center in Mozambique. This is certainly not Kaya's first project, especially in Mozambique. The company is satisfied with all relevant technical aspects.

State of the art equipment
The new filling line includes a 24 Scale carousel capable of filling 1200 gas cylinders per hour managed by Kaya's unique (Computer Aided Production Management). Also, this project required new piping and new LPG pumps to feed the new line, environmental components for firefighting, gas and fire detection, a very safe LPG compressor, generator and unloading and counting station for trucks. Other items include a new PC-based order management system and necessary adjustments to the filling hall and structures for technical setups.

Teamwork as a path to success
With the filling center always open and operational, the field team needed to install the new filling line and other supporting equipment. This was a challenging process for the field team, who managed to run the work simultaneously with the customer's production.

A team of rock engineers oversaw the final testing and commissioning of the new center between October and November 2021. The project also included collaboration with local subcontractors for electrical and civil engineering works and of course the team from Kaya's subsidiary in Mozambique. Kaya Engineering Company, which was under the control of the works and project coordination from the beginning to the end, carried out.
